ONLINE WORKSHOP

Under the Production Magnifying Glass

By Ailín Bustamante, Ita Romero & Ayelén Bustos Suárez

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The head of animation tells you that she was abducted by a UFO and needs a week to “process” the experience. What do you do?

  • Option 1: You give her the week off and hire a freelance alien you meet online to finish the animation.
  • Option 2: You ask her to integrate her alien experience into the story of the series, including a UFO cameo.
  • Option 3: You decide that everyone on the team will wear tinfoil hats just in case there are more abductions.

Result: Yes, you do animation production (and intergalactic contact).

The goal of the workshop is to understand how production creatively weaves the map that gives real form to ideas. How do we get to the goal without being abducted?

Connect the dots, create plans and strategies, and accompany a project throughout all its phases, while it becomes a reality. Production creatively weaves the map that gives real form to the ideas that come from the direction and the team. How do we reach the goal? Is there only one goal? Where do we start?

👉 If you have an animation project (short film or series) and you are interested in receiving personalized advice, this workshop is for you.
During 5 meetings, we will address the necessary tools and strategies that allow you to make your project feasible, from all phases of production (pre, prod and post) to sales, distribution and dissemination. We will see how to plan a real budget, achieve optimal workflow, managing schedule and technical team, and what to take into account to obtain financing.

We will work with the selected projects to develop a comprehensive action and production plan.
