This year, as part of the eighth edition of the BITBANG International Animation, Digital Art, and Video Games Festival, we’re teaming up with GIPHY Arts to launch this spectacular animated GIF contest.

Following in the footsteps of our beloved festivals GLAS Animation (United States) and La Guarimba (Italy), we present this call with a dream detail: the winning GIF takes home 500 USD.

Participating is very simple. You just need to:

1. Create a GIPHY account.
2. Upload your GIF before October 31st! 👻
3. Tag it #BITBANG2022.

You can upload as many GIFs as you want and from anywhere. We’ll be evaluating not only artistic quality but also the effectiveness of the GIF.

Be mindful of colors and duration, and make sure your idea is as concise as possible. The jurors are Xina Ocho, Bárbara Cerro, and Flor Granja.

On November 4th, during the awards ceremony of #BITBANG8, we’ll announce the number one masterpiece.
