Hábitat is a landscape that could have been.
It is the mystery and magic of a Mesopotamia that is ours and we never knew,
a fantasy about what we are but have piped, drained and pruned.
It is playing with what would happen if we were less human and more bugs.

In a present so full of allegories to an apocalypse that never ends up arriving, it seems that the collective imagination remains focused on possible aesthetics of the end, in dystopia.

Hábitat is presented as an uchrony, a present parallel to our own. It proposes to let go of the certainty, at least for a while, of an apocalyptic future and use the power of mystery and uncertainty to envision other presents. To exercise the imagination in the now with the hope of facilitating the projection of more livable futures.
