Lena Mandel
In a current context where immediacy dominates and often only the final result of a project is shown – which can sometimes last just a few seconds – the need arises to share and make visible the processes and methodologies that have been accumulated through experience. In this way, we can understand how the path to the result was followed and open up new possibilities for experimentation.
Each project has a unique process. How to plan creatively in the middle of a production process where the deadline is not flexible? Where is the value of the process itself? We seek to share methodologies accumulated through experience. Something that is created within four walls, in the individuality and solitude of a private space; and bring it to the public.
The conversation with this national idol will include original drawings of animations that have never been shown before. The objective is to create a space for dialogue and exchange that allows these hidden processes to be made visible, inspiring new ideas and forms of creation.
Multidisciplinary visual artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lena is dedicated to animation, design, painting and illustration (and how!) where she is interested in exploring various techniques and styles both analog and digital. She studied Image and Sound Design (UBA), animation at IDAC and plastic arts at Guillermo Roux’s workshop.
