BITBANG announces its 2025 Official Selection

The BITBANG International Animation Festival announces the Official Selection for its 2025 edition, which will be held from October 28th to November 1st in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This year, the festival received more than 2,000 short films from over 100 countries. After an intensive selection process, 27 international short films, 25 Latin American short films, 28 Latin American graduation short films, and 30 works in the Panorama section were chosen, for a total of 110 films from 38 countries.

The 2025 edition also marks a historic record for Latin American submissions, with a notable presence of productions from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia, as well as a sustained growth in graduation short films made in schools and universities in the region.

Screenings will take place at the Gaumont Cinema, Borges Cultural Center, Da Vinci School, and Club Lucero, while other activities—including workshops, fairs, animation jams, parties, and screenings—will take place at La Paz Arriba, Can Can Club, and Pavilion 4.
The full lineup, including the venue and schedule, will be published in the coming days.

The BITBANG 2025 Official Selection celebrates the aesthetic, narrative, and technical diversity that defines the current pulse of contemporary animation.
