Paula Boffo
Paula Boffo (Buenos Aires, 1994) is an animation film director and comic book artist. Her work explores visual narratives with a political focus, conceiving audiovisual and sequential language as a transformative tool. Through her illustration and comic work, she has collaborated with various human rights organizations in Argentina and around the world. From her studio, Ojo Raro, she directed Santa Sombra (2022) and Luz Diabla (2025), which were selected for more than 100 festivals, including Sundance, Annecy, FICG, and Sitges. Her graphic novels, Santa Sombra, Satén Rosa Rosa, and El Viaje Real, have received national awards and been exhibited internationally.

October 29: At the Borges Cultural Center, Paula will give a talk where she will share her creative journey between comics and animation, her vision of the political role of art, and the processes behind her most recent works.
