Animated GIF Workshop
with Ezequiel Torres
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with GIPHY ARTS to launch this Animated GIF Workshop with the talented Ezequiel Torres, as part of the ninth edition of the BITBANG International Animation, Digital Art, and Video Games Festival.
For three days, you will dive into the world of animated GIFs, creating looping animations based on one premise: contributing to a more sustainable world. The idea of the workshop is to transport us to natural spaces, which are much needed for those of us living in the city. While not exclusive, illustrations with eco-sustainable themes, flourishing life, dystopian alternate worlds, or beautiful and diverse flora and fauna are more than welcome in the workshop. Feel free to bring images, texts, ideas, dreams, and anything that fuels your concept. If you thought it couldn’t get any better, you’re in for a treat: it’s free!

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
This workshop is specially designed for designers and illustrators, although it is not exclusive.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Venue: Recoleta Cultural Center ¿HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
The deadline for registration is October 3.
Selected participants will be announced via email on October 10th.
WHAT DO I NEED?
To participate, you can use either analog tools such as paper and pencils/crayons/etc., or digital tools like a computer or tablet.

Ezequiel Torres
Ezequiel Torres is a director specializing in 2D frame-by-frame animation. Over the past 16 years, he has directed and co-directed productions for international brands such as Cartoon Network, MTV, Nike, Apple, and Adidas, among others.
Ezequiel is one of the founders of the animation studio Rudo Company, where he directed several narrative music videos that have been awarded at various festivals around the world. Two of his most notable works are “The Wolf,” which has over 175 million views on YouTube, and the music video “Mañana,” which has received more than 30 festival nominations and 5 awards.
