WORKSHOP
Directing and Storytelling
By Florentina González & Paula Boffo (Sukermercado)
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In this hands-on theoretical-practical workshop, we will explore directing and storytelling in auteur animation cinema.
The goal of the workshop is to help participants develop a presentation portfolio for their projects, considering their future journey through labs, markets, and other opportunities within the industry, and to outline a clear path for their next steps in development.
We will dive into the significance of authorship and storyboarding, focusing on how to contribute to the narrative through its construction. Practical tools and techniques will be provided to enrich the creative process and artistic expression. The workshop will cover fundamental concepts such as scriptwriting, character development, aesthetic proposals, styles, production, and financing options.
