International Shorts
Camila Kater
Camila Kater is a director, animator, and screenwriter from São Paulo, Brazil. Her short film “CARNE” (2019) premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, was selected for over 250 festivals, and won more than 95 awards. The film was acquired by The New York Times Op-Docs. Camila directed and animated five music videos for the Sesc label’s historical recordings series, including “Clara Crocodilo, 1980, Arrigo Barnabé,” an official selection at the 2026 Annecy Festival.
She holds a Master of Arts degree from the Erasmus Mundus RE:ANIMA program (Belgium, Portugal, and Finland) and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from Unicamp, as well as a degree in Film and Television Production from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, UK). She teaches courses at universities and festivals and has been a guest speaker at institutions such as Bauhaus University, the University of Michigan, and CalArts. In 2025, she was featured in the Bloomsbury book “Women and Global Documentary: Practices and Perspectives in the 21st Century,” in a chapter on animated documentary written by Shilyh Warren and Christine Veras. She is currently developing the “CARNE” series, finalizing her next short film, and serving as the animation director for Fernanda Salgado’s “Ana, en passant.”
Frederic Siegel
Frederic Siegel is a Swiss animation director, illustrator, visual artist, and educator based between Zurich and Bern.
He studied animation at the Lucerne School of Art and Design, graduating in 2015 with the short film *Ruben Leaves*, which screened at international film festivals such as Annecy, Dok Leipzig, and Encounters Bristol. The film won several awards, including the Swiss Film Award for Best Graduation Film in 2016.
In 2017, he co-founded the Zurich-based animation collective Team Tumult; since then, he has collaborated with his colleagues on both personal projects and commissions for clients worldwide. Notable joint productions include the short films *The Lonely Orbit*—winner of the Best Animated Short Film award at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, an Oscar-qualifying event—and *TV or The Disturbance on Forest Hill Road*, which premiered at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in 2025.
In his personal work, Frederic Siegel frequently explores the turbulent inner worlds of ordinary characters shaped by technology, social pressure, and other mental challenges. He conveys his fluid perception of reality through hand-drawn digital animation and the use of limited yet vibrant color palettes.

Leo Campasso
Leonardo Martín Campasso, also known as Leo Campasso, is an independent director of traditional 2D and 3D animation, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in April 1988.
He began animating at the age of seven and has been pursuing a professional career since 2006.
He has worked on projects for international brands and networks such as Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon, Fox, Google, Marvel, and Coca-Cola.
His work has been featured at festivals including Annecy, Pictoplasma, Onedotzero, Bitbang, Bafici, and Animest, and has been highlighted by media outlets and platforms such as Catsuka, Cartoon Brew, Vimeo, Motionographer, and Stash.
After twelve years at the helm of Leo Campasso Studio, he founded Aura Studio in 2021, a production company specializing in animation for advertising and original content.
Nacho Malter
Nacho Malter is an Argentine visual artist, director, and producer with over 20 years of experience in animation and visual development.
He is the co-founder and director of Bellolandia, a Buenos Aires-based 2D animation studio, where he leads original projects and productions for international clients across the entertainment, video game, and advertising industries.
He is currently directing Electro Andes, an original sci-fi action series that blends anime aesthetics with Andean culture and mythology.
Sonia Estévez
Sonia is a stop-motion animation director, producer, and animator.
She has professionally directed three short films—*Txotxongiloa*, *Malkoak*, *Plazer bat*, and *Onena Ura da*—as well as several commercials using this animation technique.
She also has a background in Environmental and Forestry Chemistry, allowing her to blend audiovisual production with sustainability.
She was nominated for a 2024 Goya Award for her first professional animated short film, *Txotxongiloa*, and was a contender for the Goya Awards for her third short film, *Plazer bat*. She has won over 40 awards for her short films and secured more than 200 selections at prestigious festivals, both national and international.

Sofía Ruocco
Illustrator and 2D animator born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She trained from an early age under José Marchi, Carlos Garaycochea, and Daniel Duche. In 2022, she completed a training program at Gobelins, l’École de l’Image, in France.
She worked at the studio Le Cube as an animation assistant and generalist before embarking on a freelance career. Since then, she has contributed to advertising projects, short films, and series for Adult Swim, Netflix, Cartoon Network, Disney, and Nickelodeon.
Daniel Duche
Animator and animation director from Buenos Aires. He directs projects at studios with an international reach—creating work for Cartoon Network, Disney, Nike, Pepsi, MTV, Amazon, and HBO, among others.
He founded the studio Puño Robot, where he produces auteur short films and music videos—such as “Todavía te quiero” for Thalía (Sony Music)—and contributes to films and series. Through this studio, he tells his own stories while prioritizing the Latin American market.
At Puño Robot, he created the animated series “Vigía Planetario” entirely for *Fierro* magazine, a venture aimed at producing local content. The series blends sci-fi adventure, comedy, and subtle social commentary. It was screened at various events across the country as part of an initiative to promote domestic animation.
In partnership with production company Enzo Ruso, he created “La huella del oro.” This project is the first original animated series for adults produced in Argentina for HBO Max and Adult Swim.
He has participated in numerous national and international festivals with both his commercial and independent work, earning various awards and honorable mentions.
Sebastián Porteiro
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Director and instructor specializing in art for animation and/or video games.
He pursued his higher education at Vancouver Film School, where he created the short film “Te Odio y Todo Lo Que Representas” (I Hate You and Everything You Stand For), which was screened at various festivals, including Pixelatl.
He has worked as an animator and background artist on projects ranging from animated documentaries and anime to short films and American series.
